  • 500 g minced beef £1.49, £2.98/kg
  • 2 eggs 26p (13p each)
  • 65 g parmesan cheese 65p (10p/100g)
  • 2 slices bread, made into breadcrumbs 35p (5p/100g)
  • 1 tbsp basil 15p
  • 1 tbsp oregano 15p
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 5p
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Put all the items in a large bowl and mix together.
  • Once fully mixed roughly divide evenly and make your meatballs to whatever thickness you prefer.
  • Put your meatballs on a non-stick baking tray and cook them in the oven on.
  • Gas mark 5/180°C for about 30 - 40 minutes until thoroughly cooked.


Serve with a delicious tomato and basil sauce and spaghetti, or mash, veg and gravy!
